The Keyi Panyor district administration has intensified checks along National Highway 13 ahead of the Ziro Festival of Music, with officials focusing on food safety, sanitation, licensing and visitor-facing facilities on the route towards Ziro Valley.

A joint awareness and inspection drive on September 18 covered hotels, restaurants and cafeterias between Potin and Yachuli. Officials checked kitchens, washrooms and surrounding areas, reviewed food-safety and trade licences, and reminded establishments about hygiene, fire safety and proper food handling.

The administration is preparing for heavier traffic through Potin, Yazali, Yachuli and Joram during the festival, which is scheduled from September 24 to 27. A mass social-service drive has also been planned for September 21 in key market areas along the corridor.

The exercise is part of a broader effort to ensure that the main approach to Ziro is clean, safe and equipped to handle the expected influx of visitors. Local businesses and communities have been asked to cooperate with the preparedness measures.
