Assam civil service officer dismissed over alleged MPLADS fund irregularities

Assam Administrative Service officer Hemanta Kumar Dutta has reportedly been dismissed from service following departmental proceedings linked to alleged irregularities in the use of MPLADS funds associated with former Rajya Sabha MP Ajit Kumar Bhuyan. Multiple inquiries had examined the handling of projects funded through the scheme.

According to the report, departmental findings held that allegations were established in eight of nine inquiries.
