Assam launches incubation programme to help women-led enterprises scale up

The Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission has announced Assam Incubation Project 2.0 to support women-led businesses run by self-help-group members. The programme is designed to help existing enterprises formalise operations, expand revenue and build more sustainable livelihoods through finance and business support.

Eligible businesses can access grants, training, expert consultancy, bank-linkage support and marketing assistance. The initiative also aims to encourage larger women-led enterprises and generate employment beyond traditional institutional jobs. Applications are open to qualifying SHG members who meet the programme’s business criteria.
