Kuki and Naga MLAs meet together in Manipur Hill Areas Committee after months

The Hill Areas Committee of the Manipur Legislative Assembly has held a joint meeting attended by Kuki and Naga legislators after a gap of several months. Fourteen MLAs participated, with some members joining virtually, bringing representatives of the two hill communities together on a formal legislative platform.

The meeting is notable against the backdrop of Manipur’s prolonged ethnic and political tensions.
