The Sadar Hills District Congress Committee has appealed for an end to continuing violence in parts of Manipur, calling on armed groups, community organisations and individuals to avoid retaliation. The committee said civilians should be protected irrespective of community identity and that grievances cannot justify attacks, intimidation or displacement.

It also urged state and central authorities to ensure security in vulnerable areas, maintain access to essential supplies and investigate incidents impartially. The statement places dialogue, accountability and safe civilian movement at the centre of its appeal as Manipur continues to face the consequences of prolonged communal tension.
